Sir Donald Bradman (1908-2001), Australian international cricketer. Autograph letter signed dated September 1948 to 'A E Elliott, Weldon & Wilkinson, Nottingham' on taking a package of [presumably textile or clothing] samples back to Australia for business purposes. Note : Weldon & Wilkinson Ltd was a dyeing and finishing business including hosiery located in New Basford, Nottingham. Don Bradman captained the Australian cricket team in England in 1948, making his fourth and final tour of England. The team is famous for being the only Test match side to play an entire tour of England without losing a match. Framed with the original envelope.
