Cheffins’ Cambridge Vintage Sale at Sutton, near Ely from the 17th – 22nd July saw a number of the world’s most unusual classic and vintage tractors, alongside vintage motorbikes, classic commercial vehicles, petroliana and collector’s items go under the hammer, grossing over £850,000 in total. With bidders from across the globe, the July sale was the first to accept bids solely online or by proxy over a three-day period and was a major event for collectors and enthusiasts.
Cheffins’ first property auction post lockdown saw an 89 per cent sale rate across the nine lots offered on the 15th July. Operated as a live webcast sale, the auction offered bidding online, by proxy or by telephone and saw strong prices across all sectors of the market.

This sale is set to be a major event for collectors and enthusiasts. The July sale will be the first to accept bids solely online or by proxy, following two viewing days at the Sutton site and with bidding over a three-day period.
At its Virtual Planning Committee on 1st July 2020, East Cambridgeshire District Council granted full planning permission for a 3,200 sqm extension to the Masters distribution centre on the A10 at Stretham, near Ely.
