How do I bid at a commercial property auction?

The bidding process is very straightforward, and we offer four methods of bidding to enable as wide a range of buyers as possible:

  • Online: You can view the auction live and bid from the comfort of your own home

  • Proxy bid: You instruct the auctioneer prior to the auction to bid on your behalf up to a maximum bid

  • Telephone: One of our auction team will call you live from the auction room and take instructions to bid on your behalf

  • In person: You’re welcome to join us at our auction room in Cambridge, and we ask that you register in advance of auction day

How can I sell at auction?

Selling at one of our commercial property auctions is a fast and simple way to offload commercial assets. The process begins with one of our experts providing an appraisal of your property, and recommending a guide price. If you then choose to proceed to auction, you’ll need to pay an entry fee which typically ranges from £300 to £600, including VAT.

This is then followed by a period of targeted marketing, and the agreement of a reserve price (the lowest price that you’ll accept once the auction begins). Throughout the entire commercial auction process, our experts will keep you informed of any interested buyers and documentation that we might need from you, such as a legal pack.
