Footnote: The use of the word 'Goliath' for an oversized pocket watch with a dial of 60mm or larger was a trademark used and registered originally by the Omega watch company in 1892. They had produced two 8 day movements and the larger movements required a larger case. The term 'Goliath' is now widely accepted as a description of any pocket watch with a diameter of 60mm or more.
