Condition report:

72.5 x 96.5cm framed

A doe rabbit and her kittens feeding in a barn - Oil on canvas which has been lined. The canvas is in plane and the paint layer is in a good, stable condition. There are areas of retouching across the surface, finely applied and well matched to the original. On close examination there is a fine scattering of white spots across the painting, these are metal soaps which form as the paint layer ages and are part of the original materials. The varnish is clear and even.

Ducks, ducklings and pigeons - Oil on canvas which has been lined. There is an old vertical tear in the left hand side of the canvas which has been secured through lining. There are areas of overpaint covering the tear and darker areas of the background which are reasonably well matched to the original. The paint layers are in a good, stable condition overall. The varnish is glossy and slightly yellowed. The surface is slightly smeary in appearance probably due to a partially cleaned layer of dirt.
