Four Victorian silver entrée dishes and covers, three bases possibly by Creswick & Co, Sheffield 1872, engraved with the crest of Birkbeck, the fourth by R&S Garrard & Co, London 1897, of classic circular form with scalloped beaded edge, the four covers, Sheffield 1872, each engraved with the crest of Birkbeck and with bayonet fitting detachable handles (one lacking), 167ozt gross (4) 26 x 26cm (10 x 10in)

One handle lacking, the other three in good working order. All the covers are slightly misshapen so rock slightly when placed on the bases. There are minor dents and dings to the covers as to be expected, and one cover is lacking the cork spacer in the handle socket. The bases are scratched to a satin finish on the underside as to be expected and there is scratching inside where serving spoons have been used . Again, some dents and dings to the bases from use.
