Description

A Saddled chestnut gelding held by a liveried groom in a wooded landscape oil on canvas 61 x 91cm

Condition report: Oil on canvas which has been lined. The paint layer has a prominent network of drying cracks across the surface which appear dark. There is an old damage at the top right corner which has been filled and overpainted. At the left hand side is an areas of damage caused by chemical or similar on the surface. Scattered retouchings across the surface. The varnish is clear and even. The frame is in a very good condition.
