circa 1970, model 31012, the signed circular champagne dial, 32mm diameter, with gold coloured batons and hands, subsidiary running seconds at 9 o'clock and minute register at 3 o'clock, red sweep chronograph seconds with inner dot minute track and outer pulse monitor and tachymeter tracks, date window at 6 o'clock, signed but unnumbered 17 jewel 'Valjoux' crown wind mechanical movement calibre 232, with start/stop and reset pusher above and below the crown, rectangular case, 38mm diameter, with bevelled edge, verso steel, screw down, signed and numbered 31012 27, to an aftermarket gold-plated bracelet with adjustable fold over claspFootnote: Favre-Leuba was founded in Switzerland in 1737 when Abraham Favre first registered as a watchmaker. It is said to be the second-oldest watch brand in Switzerland, after Blancpain, founded in 1735.The Cal. 232 - with the date window unusually placed at 6 o'clock instead of 3 o'clock - is a rare column wheel chronograph movement made by Valjoux between 1969 and 1974. Just 5,176 examples were produced.
