He was the father of the writers Frances Burney and Sarah Burney, of the explorer James Burney, and of Charles Burney, a classicist and book donor to the British Museum.Hugh Belsey has suggested a possible attribution to Thomas Parkinson  (1744-1789).Provenance: From a private collection of musical portraitsCondition report: Under glass and a little dusty.
