Provenance: By family descent Other Notes: David Powell was trained under Edward Barnsley and also studied at the Royal College of Art. He started a number of design ventures in London before moving to the United States in 1969 where he settled in Easthampton, Massachusetts. It was here that he established the Leeds Design Workshop with his business partner, John Tierney.
