A miniature portrait of Lieutenant General Christopher Jeaffreson of Dullingham (1761-1824) half-length, in blue day dress, with engraved gilt metal plaque to the reverse water and bodycolour on ivory, oval 7 x 6cm

Footnote: The sitter who rose to the rank of Lieutenant General was from 1783 until 1798 only Captain, probably in the 18th Regiment of Foot.
