late 20th century, the clock with signed arch topped white dial, blued hands and gold coloured alarm pointer, arch top gold-plated brass case with burgundy Roman numerals and inner chemin de fer chapter ring, signed 7 jewel quartz movement number 926311, calibre Y2, the crown with red cabochon endstone, verso snap on, signed and numbered 357205129, burgundy lacquer hinge with brushed brass front cover/stand, presented in a signed burgundy suede leather pouch within the distinctive red and gold tooled leather case; the pen, model 'Vendome Trinity', oval in cross section, of ochre lacquer with gold-plated accents and three-colour 'trinity' twisted ring decoration to the cap end, signed and numbered 526393 (2)

Condition report: Clock: Some minor scratches and scuffs as to be expected. Verso discoloured and tarnished though would probably clean satisfactorily. Hinged cover in working order and the hinge does not appear strained. The battery powered movement was in working order at the time of examination and the alarm does function. The clock has not been tested for timekeeping. The presentation box and pouch are in fair condition with some scuffs and scratches. Pen: Some surface scuffing and scratching all over as to be expected. The refill is signed Cartier and the pen is in working order. The push-in clip release is in working order and the clip extends and retracts as it should. Cover snaps shut positively and fits to the opposite end as it should. There are no accompanying documents or papers with this lot.
