Condition report: Oil on canvas which has been lined. The paint surface has an uneven texture with fine wrinkling in light passages loosely following the canvas weave, possibly caused by shrinkage in the support. The darker passages have a lumpy, uneven texture with some raised areas lifting away the canvas below. There are fine touches of overpaint covering cracks. In the sky the overpaint appears broader. The varnish is thicker in the dark areas of the painting. The surface has a semi-glossy finish and a layer of surface dirt. The frame is in a god condition with a few small losses to the gilding.
