Description

Anglo-Flemish School, circa 1700 A Wooded river landscape with figures on a pathway in the foreground oil on canvas 29 x 34cm (11 x 13in)
Provenance: The Vane Arms (label to the reverse) Other Notes: An attribution to Peter Tillemans (1684-1734) has been suggested.
Oil on canvas which has been lined. The canvas is in plane with good tension. The paint layer is stable with a few localised losses. There is minor wear and abrasion to the surface, some of which has been overpainted. The varnish is slightly yellowed but even and semi-glossy. The frame is in a good condition.
