the brooch designed as an oval boss held within a diaper frame by diagonal bands, set with a central blister pearl and scattered turquoise and garnet cabochons, the white metal base tests for silver, with remains of a gilt wash and matt enamel decoration in white, black and red, Austro-Hungarian mark on back, length 6.5cm; the belt composed of ten shaped filigree work panels joined by short chain sections including a triple ring bar, each stamped with the city mark, possibly Odessa, both sides of the two part hook clasp (broken) have the 84 zolotnik stamp, city shield stamp and maker's initials, length 71cm
