Description

of long duration, the swanneck pediment hood with 3 ball finials above 13inch arched silvered dial signed 'Henry Buxton Fecit' above rolling moon disc, each spandrel with a subsidiary small dial for day, month, strike/silent and High Water (Gravesend, London, Bristol, Dover, Portsmouth), also with typical silvered seconds dial and date aperture, and astronomical dial (now blanked off), the trunk with shaped top door flanked by quarter reeded columns, on a panelled canted plinth with ogee feet; with two 46cm weights, the subsidiary dials not connected, 231cm high

Condition report: incorrect seatboard; few losses to dentil hood mouldings and cracks to case; movement probably 3 or 4 week duration, but also previously described as month going. Currently ticking. Dial probably cleaned / re-silvered.
