A Landscape with a thatched cottage, a washer woman and figures with a hay cart signed indistinctly lower centre in monogram and dated 1648 oil on oak panel 26 x 39 cm

Condition report: Oil on a wooden panel formed from one board with the woodgrain running horizontally. . The support and paint layers are in a good condition overall. With time the woodgrain has become evident through the paint layers, which is typical of painting of this date. The sky has extensive retouching covering the woodgrain which has become lighter over time. There is little retouching in the darker paint passages. The varnish is clear even and semi-glossy. The frame is in a good condition.
