Description

A Victorian painter's box by Rowney and a walnut and inlaid tea caddy: the first of mahogany with inlaid brass cartouche inscribed 'E.L.YARROW 1885', fully fitted out inside with removable tray with slots for paints, pencil or brush holder, wooden set square, drawer etc, and leather lining to the inside of the lid ornately printed in gold 'G.Rowney & Co, Artists' Colourmen' with addresses in Oxford St and Piccadilly, 24 x 22 x 10cm; the tea caddy with foliate inlay and stringing lines, interior with two lidded compartments still with most of the silver foil lining, 23 x 13 x 13cm (2)
