Description

A Victorian cabochon garnet bow brooch together with a mid 20th century gold and pearl brooch, the first designed as a loosely tied single ribbon bow with ribbed edge and swallow tail ends, collet set with nine oval cabochon garnets, yellow metal tests as 18ct gold, length 4.2cm; the other designed as a wild flower plant - a realistically modelled ribwort plantain - with eight long lanceolate leaves and four graceful stalks with the flower/seed heads formed by vari-sized oval or bouton pearls, possibly Scottish river pearls, hallmarked 9ct gold, London 1964, length 4.0cm (2)
