of Indian origin and possibly a bridal jewel, the oval shaped centrepiece with green and red enamel decoration and lower fringe, suspended from a fringed chain, length, 36cm, unmarked yellow metal tested to at least 18ct gold, gross weight 17.2g

Footnote: Colours are significant in Indian jewellery. In this case, green signifies good luck and fertility and red signifies energy and prosperity. Both colours are very often used in bridal jewellery.
