Description

A rare Ming dynasty Kraak dish depicting two Persian figures, c.1600-1644, with cobalt underglaze blue decoration, produced in Jingdezhen, combining motifs from Persia, Holland and China, the figures to the central medallion probably copied from a Mughal painting, the tulips from a Dutch blue and white dish, the flowers and the wanderers being a traditional Chinese motif, 32.5cm diameter
