Description

A pair of coral earpendants formed as bunches of grapes, together with a Victorian brooch and another pair of coral earrings, the first with hook fittings suspending a cluster of coral beads shaped into a bunch of grapes and with vine leaf decoration, length 3.7cms; the brooch designed as a ropetwist, rod and bead bar, stamped '15ct' and with maker's monogram AW, length 4.9cm, weight 5.4g; the second earrings with bead-headed posts suspending a short length of chain with bead and coral bead terminations, tests for 9ct gold, length 2.0cm (3) The grapes earrings weigh 3.99g. they are in excellent, 'as new' condition; one hook has the Italian makers lozenge for Naples on it, the metal is not otherwise marked; the beads are individually small, but with magnification, the natural coral structure can be seen; they have a high polish.The brooch weighs 5.42g. It is in good condition for age; the pin is slightly bent, and there is a small area of tarnish at the base; but the clasp is good and all parts sound. The other earrings weigh 0.55g; they are in good condition, the chains supple, the coral beads displaying the natural structure and little areas of white so undyed.
