Footnote: 'En tremblant' is a French term meaning 'to tremble'. It was a revolutionary mounting technique introduced in the Georgian Era and is achieved when parts of the setting are attached to coiled springs of metal to create realistic movement and height, resulting in more sparkle and liveliness. The 'en tremblant' technique is especially popular for floral motif brooches, which feature delicate flower heads.

Condition report: In overall good condition. All diamonds present and secure within the settings. Very minor chipping to diamonds, only visible with a 10X loupe and consistent with age. The pin opens and closes positively with no sign of strain.
