Description

A late 19th century parure of blue paste jewellery in period fitted case, with mid blue pastes all in closed back crimp collet settings, and comprising a rivière necklace of graduated alternating rectangular and square cushion cut stones (barrel clasp), a pair of bracelets with uniform oval cut stones (hidden box clasps with integral safety chains), a cruiform pendant with oval, round and pear cut stones (jump ring suspensory loop, and later brooch fitting with safety catch), a pair of pendant earrings with large pear cut and small cushion cut stones (screw-back fittings for non-pierced ears), and two brooches - one a ring of round cut stones, the other a cushion cut between two oval cut stones, all presented in a red leather case with fully fitted interior, retailed by Waters of South Molton St; lengths - necklace 42cm, bracelets 19cm, pendant with suspensory loop 5.0cm, earrings 3.2cm, brooches 2.2 and 2.5cm
