Description

A late 19th century Chinese export flask and beaker, the first, a talcum powder flask by Hung Chong & Co of Shanghai of oval cylindrical form, with hammered finish under an applied scrolling dragon, with a monogrammed circular cartouche and friction fitting cover topped with a captive bayonet fitting lid, marked to the base with the maker's mark; the second, a small plain beaker by Luen-Wo of Shanghai, of slightly tapering form decorated with an applied scrolling dragon and with lightly gilded interior, signed to the base, 8.8ozt gross (2)
