A George V silver cased travelling timepiece, the unsigned circular white convex enamel dial, 35mm diameter, with black Arabic numerals and blued hands, the 8 day captive key wound movement signed 'Silex 49', the case by E.S. Barnsley & Co, Birmingham 1915, of rectangular form, lavishly decorated all over with engine turned sunburst style engraving, the piano hinged reverse with plain thumbpiece, engraved to match around a vacant circular cartouche, the top with hinged scroll handle, and all raised on four bun feet, gross weight 211.5g 7 x 5 x 4cm (3 x 2 x 2in)
