Description

A collection of four soapstone Inuit carvings, including two seals and two hunters. Markings on the bases of each figure visible under UV light reading "R. Willie" along with indistinct numeric characters - presumably catalogue classifications (4)



Condition report:

The smaller seal has damage and markings to both the snout and the tail, with loss to the tail. LArger sela has marking and fading of facial features with general ware and markings to the exterior. Figure with seal has loss to the flipper of the seal and markings throughout. The final figure has general ware to the exterior.
