Provenance: The late Michael Rice, Burley House, Burley-on-the-Hill, Rutland Other Notes: British Conservative Party politician and journalist, Sir Hamilton William Kerr, was educated at Eton and Balliol College, Oxford. He pursued a career in journalism, working for the Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph. In 1950, he was elected MP for Cambridge, holding the seat until his retirement in 1966. He lived at Whittlesford and donated the Mill to Cambridge University where it now houses the conservation arm, the Hamilton Kerr Institute.
Frame is dirty, colours are good. Piece of frame missing bottom right corner.
