§ Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet (French 1880-1950), "Isis", a gilt bronze nude study of the Egyptian Goddess, on a semi-hexagonal plinth, edged with lotus motifs and serpent wings, signed, raised on polished veined marble base, 38.2cm wide 29 x 38 x 15.50cm (11 x 15 x 6in)
Other Notes: Claire Colinet was a modern sculptor working throughout the early-to-mid 20th century. Her first works were shown in 1914 and she exhibited frequently at the Salon des Artistes Francois and the Salon des Independants in Paris. Her subject matter consists mostly of Eastern female dancers all in dynamic and energetic poses.
