Literature: Joanna Dunham, 'Amy K Browning (1881-1978): An Impressionist in the Women's Movement', Boudicca Books, pub. 1995. Other Notes: Amy K Browning studied at the Royal College of Art under Gerald Moira, being awarded a scholarship to continue without paying fees. After studying in Paris, she exhibited at the Salon where she won both Gold and Silver medals. The French Government subsequently bought two of her works for their Luxembourg Collection. She was married to the artist, Thomas Cantrell Dugdale, RA, RP, ROI (1880-1952). Her work is included in many British museum collections, including Manchester, Southampton and Glasgow. A retrospective exhibition of her work was held at Christchurch Mansions, Ipswich, Suffolk in 1995.
