the first circa 1918, half hunter trench style watch head, spring-loaded outer cover hinged at 12 o'clock, with push button release at 6 o'clock and applied Arabic numerals over a circular textured ground around the circular glazed aperture, white dial, 28 mm diameter, with outlined Arabic numerals (12 in red), blued skeleton hands, subsidiary seconds register at 6 o'clock and baton minute track, gilt jewelled mechanical crown wind movement, case, 34mm diameter, verso screw down with milled edge, plain and polished, interior with Glasgow import hallmarks for Sterling silver and the sponsor mark of James Weir, numbered 2258 216, fixed wire lugs, lacking a strap, 32.6g gross; the second circa 1917, the circular cream coloured dial, 12mm diameter, with black Arabic numerals, blued spade hands and chemin de fer chapter ring, 10 jewel mechanical crown wind movement, case, 25mm diameter, plain and polished, verso hinged at 9 o'clock, interior with London import hallmarks for Sterling silver and the sponsor mark of George Stockwell, numbered 27028, fixed wire lugs to an aftermarket cord leather strap with gilt pin buckle (2)
