circa 1843, the silvered engine turned dial, 40mm diameter, with oversized central minutes indicator and digital hour aperture at 12 o'clock, front-loading mechanical key wind full plate movement with chain fusée, silvered regulation and pierced and engraved balance cock, case, 43mm diameter, verso hinged at 6 o'clock, engine turned around a central vacant circular cartouche, interior with London hallmarks for Sterling silver, numbered 19366, 63.1g gross and presented with the winding key Condition report: Case: In good condition with some minor surface scratches as to be expected. Front cover opens and closes satisfactorily, but the catch is in need of adjustment. The hinge does not appear strained. Minor dent to the front bezel and the back cover at 11 o'clock. Hallmarks clear and readable.Crystal: Complete and secure with some minor scratches and chips as to be expected.Dial: In good condition. Some minor surface scratches visible in reflected light.Movement: Catch opens and snaps shut satisfactorily and the hinge does not appear strained. Movement not currently in working order, Balance wheel moves freely and 'ticks' for one or two seconds before stopping. Hands move freely in both directions.
