Lasting for 36 hours off the coast of Denmark’s Jutland Peninsular the engagement involved 250 ships and 100,000 men. Although each side claimed the battle as a victory the German Navy was so shaken by the result of the action that it never again attempted to properly engage the British Fleet reinforcing Germany’s policy of avoiding all fleet-to-fleet contact.Condition report: Generally in good original condition, retouching to one image
