circa 1833, the gold coloured floral dial, 42mm diameter, with gold coloured Roman numerals and spade hands, subsidiary seconds register and dot minute track, the front loading signed mechanical key wind fusée movement number 5223 under a brass dustcover, the case, 47mm diameter, by Joseph Lewis Samuel, with Chester hallmarks for 18ct gold, verso engine turned around a central vacant circular cartouche, gross weight 84.3g, presented with the winding key

Footnote: Other notes: Rosetta Hess had her workshop on Pool Lane, Liverpool and was active between 1825 - 34. It was extremely unusual in those days for a woman to be a watchmaker, which makes this example a rare and collectable piece.
