Ruskin Gallery, London

Iolo Aneurin Williams (1890-1962) was a collector and connoisseur of English drawings and a museums correspondent of The Times from 1936. He was a friend of Edward Croft-Murray (1907-1980) Keeper of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum between 1954-73. Throughout his life, Williams donated a large collection of his drawings to the British Museum.

Little surface dirt under glass. Few foxing spots in the sky above the cottage and to the right of the cottage near the figures. A small dirt stain about an inch from the centre left edge. Does not appear to be stuck down as a gap is visible between the paper and its backing along the top and bottom edge. Not examined out of frame. 37.5 x 47cm (framed)
