The painting is executed in oil on a linen canvas support which has been lined. The canvas tension is stiff and the picture is in plane. The paint layers are in a good, stable condition overall. There are areas of retouching across the surface of the painting, overall, these are well matched to the original. The varnish is even and glossy.
