As an adult, Rodney William Verelst was a keen polo player and served as a Major in the 8th Hussars Regiment. On the reverse of the painting is a letter from the artist with a handwritten account for 150 guineas and a covering letter saying how much he had enjoyed painting it.Condition report: Under glass which is a little dirty
