circa 1890, the centrepiece necklace, comprising two parts, both with a delicate openwork scroll design set with French cut diamonds, each held within a white metal cut down setting, surrounded by white and blue enamel decoration, suspending a 6.4mm pearl, length of centrepiece 7.5cm, width 3.4cm, detachable diamond set back chain with later trace link chain, estimated approximate total diamond weight 2.00ct, total length 39cm, signed 'CG', together with a matching brooch, set with single cut diamonds, estimated approximate total diamond weight 0.76ct, length 3cm, width 2.5cm, pin and revolver fitting, tested as 18ct gold with silver settings, gross weight 28.4g, presented in a fitted and signed case

All stone present, with minor chipping, visible with a 10X loupe and wear to settings

Wear/damage to enamel in multiple places, visible with a 10X loupe (images 4,6 and 12)

Surface wear to pearl

Scratched to reverse, consistent with age

Tarnishing to silver settings

Later back chain, probably shortened
