Other Notes: Anne Falkner and her partner Leslie Hervey (1857-1920) were associated with the St. Ives colony of artists in 1907, and worked in one of the Piazza studios during the First World War. Originally from a clergy family in Dorchester, Anne Falkner trained at the Slade in 1889. She exhibited in London in the 1890s from an address in Bedford (1893) and from addresses in Berkshire (1900, 1908) before finally settling in St Ives. Falkner also exhibited frequently at the Beaux Arts, including a joint show with Leslie Hervey.
A little dirty and with woodworm to the panel.
