Footnote: Provenance: From the collection of Lord Hastings Other notes: Despite the maker's mark being struck no less than five times on this piece, none are sufficiently clear enough to make a positive identification. However, it may be 'STIS' within a quatrefoil and that mark, (although unfortunately not the maker's details), is listed in 'Jackson's' p145 Literature: Sir Charles Jackson, Silver & Gold Marks of England, Scotland and Ireland, Antique Collectors Club, 3rd Edition, 1994 p 145
