by Martin, Hall & Co, (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), the teapot, Sheffield 1859, of somewhat hexagonal baluster form, the lower section decorated with repoussé foliage, the upper section with six vacant panels bordered by shell and scroll decoration, the part marked, domed and flush fitting cover topped with a bird and vine leaf finial, the capped scroll handle with ivory insulators, raised on a splayed and decorated pedestal foot, the sugar bowl, with gilded interior, to match, the kettle also to match with side opening cover and fixed scroll handle decorated with foliate engraving, 38.8ozt of silver (3)
