Description

A Tibetan Lama's table, 19th century,

extensively decorated in clear laquered polychome on all sides, with scenes depicting nomadic herders, elephants, tigers, yak, sheep, snow lions and riders on horseback, the side door shows original brass fittings and a meandering dog tooth pattern carved in relief around the underside of the top, 43.5 x 70 x 37.5cm



Condition report:

A well used piece with considerable signs of use in terms of extensive wear to the lacquer, chipped paint, joints show signs of glue repair.
