A rosewood cased marine chronometer retailed by William E. Harpur Philadelphia No.507,

second half 19th century, with 4 pillar chain fusee movement, numbered 2351 to front movement plate and inside of cover, with diamond end stone, the 10cm silvered dial with Up/Down and seconds dials, Roman hours and Arabic 5 minutes, gimbal mounted in double hinged case
18.5 x 17.5cm



case repolished; top of cover possibly a replacement as timber looks different; few scratches around securing screws; appears to tick. Not tested as to duration, presumably two day.
With ivory declaration certificate no. G42PHHQS for small plate to the front of the case
