A Nepal (Tamang) Shamen's wood and goat skin drum, 19th century,

the tapering handle carved with three faces of protective spirits, endless knots, bird heads, makara, and entwined serpents, the skin painted with traces of natural pigments of sun, moon and Yantra mandala, 70cm long

pointed end slightly worn otherwise very good
