A Georgian garnet and diamond ring,
rubover set pear shaped garnet, approximately 9.9 x 7.6mm, held within a foil backed setting, surmounted by three rose cut diamonds, split shoulders set with rose cut diamonds, 'D' shaped shank, size N½, unmarked, tested as 9ct gold and silver, weight 2.6g
A crown over a heart shaped, or more usually a pear shaped, stone carries the meaning 'ruler of my heart'.
Overall condition: Fair to good
Abrasion/chipping to garnet, consistent with age
Wear and tarnishing to settings, consistent with age
Chipping to diamonds, consistent with age
Heavy scratches/denting to mount
Visible solder line in shank, possible re-size
