Description

A Chinese red silk and embroidered skirt, late Qing Dynasty, circa 1890,

pleated and worked with two panels of flowers and precious objects in bright silk and gold wrapped threads;
another plum silk pleated example;
a floral embroidered ivory silk waistcoat (3)



Red skirt: part of the corner applied silk band has pulled off and disintegrated on one angle. Otherwise fair condition

Purple skirt: good overall

Waistcoat: staing and some patchy discolouration. popper buttons added later - these have caused ""pinching"" of the material.....
