Description

A Chinese champleve enamel decorated Guanyin, Qing Dynasty 18/19th century,

seated in meditation before an upswept mandorla decorated with the Eight Treasures babaoqian, on a waisted lotus dais, seal mark
23.5cm high



The enamels are generally good but appear somewhat "granular" - especially in a small area to the left side of the tip, and to the right side (upper curve).

Two holes (in manufacture) on the reverse basal flange.

Whole piece is dry surfaced in black.
