Description

A Chinese blue-glazed Fahua two-handled censer, probably late Ming Dynasty, 16th century,

with rearing fo-dog handles, the body applied with a vigorously modelled pair of sky dragons contending a flaming pearl, on a tripod dragon mask leg, on a later associated carved hardwood stand and with a cover
35cm high



All three legs appear to have been off and re-stuck/some overpainting.

Fo-dog taisl is chipped and has some losses and flakes
Some losses and punctures to cover and stand
