A canteen containing a 148 piece of 20th century silver cutlery and flatware, with 36 additions, by John Turton & Co, Sheffield 1935, 'Old English' pattern, monogrammed, comprising 12 table forks, 12 table knives with ivory handles and steel blades, 6 table spoons,12 dessert forks, 12 dessert knives with ivory handles and steel blades, 12 dessert spoons, 12 soup spoons, 12 teaspoons, 12 egg spoons, 12 ice cream spoons, 12 pairs of fish eaters with silver tines and blades and ivory handles, a pair of fish servers to match, a set of meat carvers, a set of game carvers, a sharpening steel, a soup ladle and a pair of sauce ladles and in addition 12 fruit forks by William Hutton & Sons, London 1909/10, with silver tines and mother of pearl handles and 12 fruit knives to match, Sheffield 1906/1910 (1 London 1910) with silver blades and 12 grapefruit spoons by James Dixon and Sons, Sheffield 1935, all contained within a three drawer wooden floor standing canteen on four legs with ball and claw feet, 132.5ozt gross weighable silver (184)
