of Richenda Buxton, the marble-boarded cover applied with a gilt-tooled leather label inscribed ‘Italy No.1’, the interior containing 57 watercolours and/or pen and ink drawings documenting a journey through France to Italy in 1850 and 1851 accompanied by Charles and Emily Buxton, including views of Nice, Cannes, Mentone, Genoa, Appian Way, Vesuvius from Pompeii, The Palatine, Rome etc., variously inscribed and dated.
